The Grade 3 curriculum prepares children for more advanced learning through interactive worksheets, interactive challenges, educational videos, and more.
Subjects and some of the skills offered within them:
Math: Multiplying and dividing within 100, understanding fractions as parts of a whole, solving multi-step word problems, measuring area and perimeter.
English: Mastering sentence structure, applying spelling patterns and phonics rules in writing, developing writing skills through sentence construction and conventions.
Reading: Decoding multisyllabic words, enhancing comprehension of fiction and non-fiction texts, identifying prefixes and suffixes, interpreting meaning through context.
Science: Exploring force and interactions, understanding weather patterns and changes, identifying parts and functions of organisms, learning about our planet and environment.
Social Studies: Recognizing world geography, understanding economic systems, learning about American government, exploring ancient history.
Chess: Learning how chess pieces move and capture, understanding special moves like castling and promotion, identifying check and checkmate, practicing basic tactics and strategies.
World Around Us: Exploring plants and animals, understanding community roles and places, learning about local and global history, discovering how the world around us works.
