Using the interactive activity navigation tool

Classroom's interactive activity navigation tool in the Classroom Library allows teachers to easily find and select activities based on specific criteria. With this feature, you can:

Choose a grade Select the appropriate grade level for your students to filter activities that align with their learning stage.

Pick a subject Narrow down your search by selecting a core subject such as Math, Science, English, Social Studies, and more.

Once you've selected your desired grade and subject, a list of skills will appear.

The skills are broken down into a hierarchy of skills and subskills. This structure allows teachers to filter activities at different levels of detail, depending on their needs.

For example:

  • 1. Data, Geometry, Area and Perimeter (umbrella skill)

    • 1.1 Geometry (skill)

      • 1.1.1 Shapes and their Characteristics (subskill)

        • 1.1.1.1 Draw and Name Shapes up to 6 Sided Shapes & Cubes (specific activity topic)

        • 1.1.1.2. Counting Sides/ Angles 2D (specific activity topic)

Each level in this hierarchy is clickable for filtering. You can choose to view all activities under a broad umbrella skill, narrow down to a specific skill or sub-skill, or go directly to a focused activity topic.

After clicking on the skill you need, the Classroom Library will display a selection of activities that match your chosen criteria.

For example if you click on "Data, Geometry, Area and Perimeter", you will get all the worksheets related to that umbrella skill, as shown below.

If you choose the sub-skill "Shapes and their Characteristics" you will get a further filtered list that more specifically caters to the topic you chose, as shown below.

From here, you can preview the activities, add them to your Classroom, or save them to Favorites for future use.

To open the interactive navigation tool from Classroom Library, all you have to do is click on the "Selected skill" drop down. It will also automatically pop up after you select grade, subject or activity type.
